REHOBOTH, Mass. -- The UMass Dartmouth equestrian team opened its season with a sixth place finish at the Johnson & Wales IHSA Horse Show on Saturday afternoon.
Freshman Karrie Cormier (Goffstown, N.H.) placed second in the novice in her collegiate debut for the Corsairs, who received respective third place finishes from sophomore Devon Frasca (Millis, Mass.) in the open fences and junior Elizabeth Sousa (Fall River, Mass.) in the limit flat. Freshman Grace Pulsifer (Northampton, Mass.) was fourth in the limit flat for UMass Dartmouth, which received a sixth place finish from junior Kayleigh Sauyet (Andover, Conn.) in the intermediate fences.
The Corsairs return to action in two weeks on Saturday, October 19th at the Becker IHSA Horse Show.
