Men's Soccer Battles Coast Guard To Scoreless Double Overtime Draw

NEW LONDON, Conn. --  Senior Danny Andrade (New Bedford, Mass.) and sophomore Chris Moussavi (Bellemore, N.Y.) combined for 11 saves as UMass Dartmouth and Coast Guard battled to a scoreless double overtime non-league college men’s soccer draw Tuesday evening at Cadet Memorial Field.

Andrade made nine stops over the final 65 minutes of play for the visiting Corsairs (7-7-2), as Moussavi picked up a pair of first half saves.  Senior Dakota Harich (Oakdale, Conn.) recorded nine stops on the night for the host Bears (9-7-1), who held a 34-14 edge in total shots (11-9 on goal) and took 10 of 11 corner kicks in the contest.

UMass Dartmouth hosts Castleton in a Little East Conference clash on Saturday afternoon at Cressy Field beginning at 2:00 pm, while Coast Guard entertains Babson in a New England Women’s & Men’s Athletic Conference contest on Saturday afternoon at Cadet Memorial Field that begins at 3:00 pm.
