Corsair Swimmers Fall At Bentley

NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA-The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's swimming team was swept a dual meet at host Bentley Saturday.

The women lost, 126-92, while the men lost, 132-73.

Winners for the women included freshman Caroline Corcoran (West Boylston, MA/ West Boylston), who won the 500 yard freestyle in 5:34.14,  junior Katelyn Kidney (Lynn, MA / Lynn Classical), who took the 200 yard butterfly in 2:19.93, junior Morgan Cooper (Sunderland, MA/Frontier Regional HS), who won the 200 yard breaststroke in 2:43.05, sophomore Brooke Garvey (North Billerica, MA/Billerica HS), who won the three-meter diving with 166.60 points, and sophomore Phil Lowney (Mattapoisett, MA/Bishop Stang HS/Roger Williams), who won the 200 yard breaststroke in 2:27.56.

UMass Dartmouth's women are now 3-1, while the men are now 1-2. The Corsairs will return to action when the men visit Roger Williams November 30th and the women host the LEC Championships December 1st.
