WORCESTER, Mass. --  The UMass Dartmouth men’s tennis team dropped a 9-0 non-league dual-match decision to Division I Holy Cross on Thursday afternoon at the Sinnott Tennis Facility.

Junior Matthew Murphy (Guilford, Conn.) and sophomore Matthew Slowinski (Montclair, N.J.) joined with freshmen Will Chen (Longmeadow, Mass.), Justin Hackshaw (Clifton Park, N.Y.) & Alexander Ruenhorst (Shelton, Conn.) to post wins in both singles and doubles play for the host Crusaders (6-15), which also received a singles triumph from sophomore Matt Fagan (Winchester, Mass.).  Hackshaw and freshman Mikey Prokopis (Lynnfield, Mass.) accounted for the other point of the day for Holy Cross with an 8-3 victory at number three doubles.

The visiting Corsairs fell to 6-10 with the setback, as UMass Dartmouth closes out its regular season slate by heading to Gorham, Maine on Saturday afternoon for a Little East Conference dual-match with Southern Maine beginning at 1:00 pm.
