NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA-The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's swimming teams split their meet with host University of New England at the UNE Campus Center Pool Saturday. The women lost, 144-118, while the men defeated UNE's club team, 185-56.

"We had several people who were ill, but our team really stepped up as a whole," said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach Cathy Motta. "We hope to get our first win at Bridgewater Tuesday."

The Corsair women are now 0-2, while the men's record remained at 0-1, since UNE's men's team is a club team and the result does not count in their overall record. The Corsairs will return to action when they host the UMass Dartmouth Invitational next Saturday.
