After reaching double digits in the win column for the fifth time in six years under Head Coach Doug Chapman last fall, the UMass Dartmouth women’s tennis team has established itself as one of the top- flight programs in the Little East Conference. Chapman’s squad is looking to take that success to a higher level in 2019 as it prepares to tackle a 16-match regular season slate.
The Corsairs hit the road for their first three matches of the year before opening their home slate on Thursday, September 12th by entertaining Lesley on the UMD Courts at 3:30 pm EDT. UMass Dartmouth will also host Division II Bentley and Suffolk for non-league affairs while welcoming Southern Maine, Rhode Island College, Plymouth State and Bridgewater State to the South Coast for Little East clashes.
Chapman’s crew will hit the road for non-league outings at Saint Joseph (Conn.), Curry, Clark and Johnson & Wales this fall, and UMass Dartmouth will head out to Western Connecticut, Castleton, Salem State, UMass Boston and Worcester State in Little East action.
